Liquor Liability Insurance for Karting & FECs

Essential if you serve alcohol alongside the racing.

Protects your business from claims arising out of serving alcohol — a required coverage for any karting center or FEC with a bar, taproom, or event alcohol service.

Liquor Liability

If your karting center, FEC, or event space serves alcohol, liquor liability is not optional. It covers claims that arise when an intoxicated guest causes injury or damage — to themselves or others — after being served on your premises. General liability specifically excludes alcohol-related claims for businesses that manufacture, sell, or serve alcohol, so without a liquor liability policy you're fully exposed to what can be a catastrophic, high-severity loss. This exposure is especially serious in a karting environment: alcohol and high-speed karts are a dangerous mix, and a claim tying intoxication to a track injury is exactly the kind of suit that follows. We write liquor liability for karting operations with taprooms, bars, birthday and corporate event alcohol service, and BYOB arrangements, and we pair it with staff training and service-policy guidance to reduce the risk in the first place.

Frequently asked

Doesn't my general liability cover alcohol claims?

No. General liability contains a liquor liability exclusion for any business that serves or sells alcohol. If you serve alcohol at all, you need a separate liquor liability policy — GL will deny alcohol-related claims.

I only serve alcohol at private events — do I still need it?

Yes. Even occasional or event-only alcohol service creates the exposure. Any time you serve, the potential for an over-service claim exists, and liquor liability is the coverage that responds.

Does it cover BYOB nights?

It can, but BYOB and host-liquor situations are underwritten differently than a licensed bar. Tell us exactly how alcohol is handled at your venue and we'll structure coverage that matches your actual practice.
